Product information
•3.06 GHz and 2.93 GHz core speeds
•Four processing threads
•4 MB of Intel® Smart Cache
•Two channels of DDR3 1333 MHz memory

Features and benefits
32nm dual-core processing runs two independent processor cores in one physical package at the same frequency.

Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology delivers two processing threads per physical core for a total of four threads for massive computational throughput. This 4-way multi-task processing allows each core of your processor to work on two tasks at the same time.

Intel® Smart Cache is shared cache dynamically allocated to each processor core, based on workload. This efficient, dual-core-optimized implementation increases the probability that each core can access data from the fast cache, significantly reducing latency to frequently used data and improving performance.

Intel® HD Graphics provides superb visual performance for sharper images, richer color, and life-like video and audio. Available on select models of the all new 2010 Intel® Core™ processor family.

World’s Cheapest Car Comes TATA Nano

Tata technologies has become one of the fastest growing companies in the world largely because it has set out a mission to make car buying more affordable and energy efficient with its Tata Nano. The Tata Nano started out in India, and it has a price tag of about $2,000 to $2,500. The first concern many people have when they hear about a car being so cheap is the safety of the car.
KDVR 31, A Fox affiliate in Denver, Colodiv rado, had a chance to preview the car on its way to the Detroit Auto Show and this is what they had to say about it:
We found it comfortably seats two adult males in the front with plenty of head room and two adult males in the back. It gets 70 miles per gallon on the highway, 50 mpg in the city with a top speed of 65 mph on a two cylinder engine and no airbags.
It does not have any air bags, and the features will be barebones, but it looks to be larger than the Smart Cars, which also have concerns over safety issues from consumers. The car gets 70 mpg on the highway and still goes 65mph, so there will definitely be a market for them in the United States. Tata is already in the works of creating a hybrid version which will get even better gas mileage, and they are testing out the interest around college campuses.
Could discount cars be the future of the auto industry? Could it be the future of the rental car industry as well? If rental car companies are able to purchase these cars at such low prices, they’ll be able to offer cheaper rental car rates to consumers. It will be interesting to see how the response is for the Tata Nano.

DUAL-CORE ADVANTAGE:

Dual-Processor(DP) systems are those that contain two seperate physical computers processor in same chassis. In a Dual Core configuration,an integrated circuit
(IC) contains two complete computer processors.Usually, the two identical are manufactured so they reside side-by-side on the same die, each with its own part to the system front-side bus.

MULTI-CORE PROCESSOR:

Multi-core is something of an expansion to dual-core technology and allows for more than two seperate processors.

DUAL-CORE ADVANTAGE:
A Dual-Core processor has many advantages especially for those looking to boot their system's multitasking computer power.Dual-core processor provides two complete execution cores instead of one, each with an independent interface to frontside bus since each core has its own cache, the operating system has sufficient resources to handle intensive task in parallel which provide a noticeable improvement to multitasking.

Complete optimisation for Dual-core processor requires both the operating system and applications running on the computer to support a technology called thread-level parallelism.Hyper-threading is a technology that enables running multiple demanding applications at the same time.

i5 PROCESSOR FROM INTEL

On September 8, 2009, Intel released the first Core i5 processor: The Core i5 750 which is a 2.66 GHz quad-core Lynnfield processor with Hyper-threading disabled. Lynnfield Core i5 processors have an 8 MB L3 cache, a DMI bus running at 2.5 GT/s and support for dual-channel DDR3-800/1066/1333 memory. The same processors with different sets of features (Hyper-Threading and other clock frequencies) enabled are sold as Core i7-8xx and Xeon 3400-series processors, which should not be confused with high-end Core i7-9xx and Xeon 3500-series processors based on Bloomfield.

The Core i5-5xx mobile processors are named Arrandale and based on the 32 nm Westmere shrink of the Nehalem microarchitecture. Arrandale processors have integrated graphics capability but only two processor cores. They were released in January 2010, together with Core i7-6xx and Core i3-3xx processors based on the same chip. The L3 cache in Core i5-5xx processors is reduced to 3 MB, while the Core i7-6xx will use the full cache and the Core i3-3xx will have no support for Turbo Boost. clarkdale, the desktop version of Arrandale, is sold as Core i5-6xx, along with related Core i3 and Pentium brands. It has Hyper-Threading enabled and the full 4 MB L3 cache

Icare Motorcycle Makes Your Dream Come True

I recently blogged about the Hybrid Bike, which was pretty cool but this time the deal is big.Have you wished to ride the Dark Knight's bike ? A lot of people will say yes to this question. But it is very well known that it would take a professional stunt man to actually ride one of these things.

Now you can drive that bike by yourself, well not really that bike but a bike which is designed on that concept.France-based Enzyme Design has created the Icare concept. Two wheels powered by a 6-cylinder 1.8L Honda engine, it's the stuff of pure future fantasy.

The good news is that it will be up for proper production soon and then you can drive like the Dark Knight.

Eco-Friendly No Driver Taxis for Heathrow Airport

Finally the era of no driver vehicles has arrived, as we only need to tell the vehicle where to go. The out of the space looking buble taxis have been designed for passengers, to go places where they want with the help of a touchscreen interface. Heathrow Airport has bought 18 of such taxis to take their passengers from the car parking to the Terminal 5.

The idea of it comes from Professor Martin Lowson who has a good experience in space travel. The taxi was showed to the world at the Science Museum in London latetly. It has the capacity of taking 4 passengers at a time, with a top speed of 25miles/hour.

The taxi has a overall nice design which gives a very futuristic look. Moreover, the taxi is an eco-friendly vehicle as it runs on batteries so no fumes would be seen keeping the environment clean and clear. Heathrow Airport would be using these taxis by next year.

Honda to Present Small Car at Delhi Auto Show 2010

Honda India is all set to unveil its small concept car at the 10th Auto Expo which would be held in New Delhi on January 5. Although Toyota also made a similar announcement, both the auto majors are not divulging details regarding the ventures.

Honda Small CarHonda insiders have revealed that the car will be built in India and Thailand and will be sold in the up-and-coming markets. They have also indicated that the car could be sold in the West at a later date. Honda will reveal more details about the car, its production date and target price at the Auto Expo in Delhi. While Honda is elusive about the details of the car, Toyota has code named the new concept as Entry Family Car which will be given a new name once it goes into production and eventually hits the roads. Toyota is targeting emergent markets like Brazil, Russia, India and Latin America.

Honda India is certain to face stiff competition from Maruti Suzuki which holds more than 50 percent market share in the small car segment. Moreover, small cars from other automakers like Nissan Micra, Ford Figo, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo are other entrants in the market. Out of these small cars coming to India next year, Nissan Micra is being constructed in a similar fashion as Honda's new small concept car. Nissan Micra is at present being developed on a global platform. This venture will not only reduce costs but it will make the vehicle cheap enough for the emerging markets and can be pepped up to be made sophisticated enough for the developed markets.
